Business Unit Attorney
Position Description
Manages legal business matters pertaining to the organization, primarily structuring and negotiation of software, service and other technology agreements with health care providers. Provides a variety of general corporate, commercial and regulatory advice to a number of in-house clients, including business unit executive management. Acts as advisor on legal issues involving the organization¿s government and regulatory compliance. Reviews legal data and advises organization on appropriate legal action to be taken, including dispute negotiation. Coordinates legal matters handled by outside counsel. Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organization, drafting transactional documents, license and professional services agreements, healthcare regulatory issues, and contract management. Advice on legal issues may also deal with trade secrets, advertising law, registration, and other resolutions which may include the computer and technology industry. Must have excellent communication skills and creativity in solving complex legal matters. Some knowledge of the healthcare regulatory environment such as HIPAA, ARRA, Anti-kickback and False Claims Act is required.
