The Solution Architect delivers strategic and project-level architectural support across one or more functional areas (called Workstreams) within SunTrusts business practice. The Solution Architect functions within the Enterprise Delivery Services (EDS) group, which focuses on the delivery of business application services to the SunTrust enterprise.
The Solution Architect maintains direct ownership of the architectural integrity of the functional areas to which they are assigned. The Solution Architect is a team resource to a portfolio-level Enterprise Architect (called the Workstream Architect) who is the architectural owner for a given area of the business. The Solution Architect functions under the administrative supervision of a Professional Development Manager (called the PDM).
