JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary
Looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in multi-currency environment to join our accounting staff as the Foreign Currency and World Wide Freight Accountant.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
-Responsible for the review, summation and analysis of re-measurement for all international entities in accordance with Financial Accounting Statement No. 52, Foreign Currency Translation (FAS 52).
-They will summarize and explain the currency impact (both realized and unrealized) on the organization’s profit and loss statement.
-Will ensure that re-measurement is current in all international entities and ensure that the chart of account listing which states the re-measurement offset for the balance sheet accounts are correctly stated.
-Must be able to work with multi-currency entities.
-Will be responsible for month end closing process to WWF Home office and the Air Freight Forwarding Home Office.
-They will be responsible for month end close process for WWF Home Office and the Air Freight Forwarding Home office.
-They will be responsible for processing and posting intercompany files and transactions, preparing and recording journal entries and recording general ledger accounts.
-They will also act as a liaison between the international countries and the WWF Region offices to resolve any Small Package accounting issues.
-Will be responsible for the quarterly calculation of deferred revenue for International Small Package.
-Maintain and update the International Domestic and Cross Border revenue model to provide accurate data in a timely manner.

The Accounting Manager will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of 3 staff members, including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and grants administration. The Accounting Manager will ensure that the Nonprofit has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing financial reports and present findings and recommendations to top management. The successful candidate will have expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. The candidate will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Accounting Manager will work closely with program leaders and their staffs, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, but also to explore how the Finance function can support program operations.
