Driver – Warehouse
Summary:
The Driver is primarily responsible for driving the delivery vehicle to transport materials, supplies, or equipment. Other responsibilities include ensuring equipment/goods are configured to the bill of lading, for loading, securing and delivering materials in a safe and timely manner; and completing and processing paperwork. The delivery driver must also maintain a safe vehicle and comply with all government regulatory laws and may be required to set up equipment/goods at delivery site; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Warehouse Manager or General Manager depending on local requirements.

DRIVER
- Drives truck to destination within designated time standards for run.
- Inspects truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
-May be required to load and unload trailer, either individually or with assistance of dock workers, with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment.
-Ensure that all shipping documentation required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered.
-Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including drivers’ logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law.
-Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
-Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to pickup or delivery of cargo.

Transport guests to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle. Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. Park vehicle in designated location when not in use. Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

The position has two responsibilities. The first responsibility is Greeter. The greeter will meet and greet all guests that visit the dealership. The greeter will be held accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The reports will be given to the sales manager. The second responsibility is Driver. The driver will drive vehicles to and from other dealerships. The driver will check the vehicles for any damage and will make sure all equipment is with the vehicle. Examples of equipment would be owner’s books, keys, and navigation discs.
