Summary:
The Driver is primarily responsible for driving the delivery vehicle to transport materials, supplies, or equipment. Other responsibilities include ensuring equipment/goods are configured to the bill of lading, for loading, securing and delivering materials in a safe and timely manner; and completing and processing paperwork. The delivery driver must also maintain a safe vehicle and comply with all government regulatory laws and may be required to set up equipment/goods at delivery site; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Warehouse Manager or General Manager depending on local requirements.

Driver / Delivery Driver
Delivery Driver Duties:
-Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to roadability standards.
-Loads truck by ordering, placing, and securing items.
-Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.
-Develops sales by reviewing standing orders; analyzing sales; recommending changes and new products; taking and placing orders; calling on potential customers.
-Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints; adjusting orders.
-Obtains payment by accepting cash, checks, and credit card payments.
-Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.
-Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; cleans truck exterior and interior.

Transport guests to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle. Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. Park vehicle in designated location when not in use. Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

The position has two responsibilities. The first responsibility is Greeter. The greeter will meet and greet all guests that visit the dealership. The greeter will be held accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The reports will be given to the sales manager. The second responsibility is Driver. The driver will drive vehicles to and from other dealerships. The driver will check the vehicles for any damage and will make sure all equipment is with the vehicle. Examples of equipment would be owner’s books, keys, and navigation discs.

Summary: Drives truck over established route to deliver products and collects money from customers by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Collects checks from customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
-Safely operates a delivery vehicle from company warehouse to customer premises and back.
-Accurately delivers invoiced products by case, pallet or hand-stack from the delivery truck and placing said merchandise into customer account.
-Verifies receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtains customer signature for goods received.
-Adjusts invoices noting errors or shortages of product.
-Collects check payments from customers as specified on the invoice.
-Ensures physical security of truck at all times.
-Handles approximately 350 cases in a given day. May handle up to 700 cases during times of increased account activity.
-Listens to and resolves service complaints.
