Description:
The goal of the Informal Education Internship is to provide a pre-professional, experiential learning opportunity for students interested in environmental conservation, informal education, and communication. Interns will receive on-grounds training in interpretive techniques and relevant animal information. Upon completion of training, interns will be responsible for providing presentations focusing on conservation action and awareness to Zoo guests at a variety of locations and activities around Zoo grounds. Beyond gaining valuable work experience as an informal educator, interns will also have the opportunity to network within one of the world’s most respected zoological and conservation organizations.

Education Coordinator
The Education Coordinator is responsible for developing all components of Atlanta Audubon Society’s (AAS) Education Program. These components include educational program development, program presentation, nature interpretation, development of interpretive materials, program promotion and oversight, recruitment of qualified instructors, and the development of partnerships with other environmental organizations and educational institutions. This position will require the individual to work outdoors, some weekends, and some evenings.
The Education Coordinator will work to fulfill AAS’ mission and provide Metro-Atlantans of all ages with opportunities to learn about birds, wildlife, and nature.
