Hotel: Night Audit Agent
Description
The Night Audit Agent is responsible for the reconciliation and completion of all daily Desk Agents’ work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: posting balances to all guest rooms and closing out the day’s transactions; running accounts receivable reports; providing next day reports to the Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales and Executive Office as required. The ideal candidate for this role will be organized and self motivated. Along with the accounting functions of the role, the Night Audit Agent may also provide guest services to guests during the overnight hours, handling and resolving issues as they arise. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working independently and desires an overnight shift. This role provides a wonderful introduction to the hotel industry as it allows interaction with several areas of the hotel.

Responsibilities for this Position
1. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. 2. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. 3. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. 4. Maintain complete knowledge at all times of: a) all hotel features/services, hours of operation. b) all room rates, special packages and promotions. c) daily house count and expected arrivals/departures. d) scheduled daily group activities. 5. Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times. 6. Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette. 7. Process all guest check-ins. 8. Obtain back-up information for guest credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated. 9. Direct Bell Person to escort guest and transport their luggage to the room. 10. Handle overbooked or “walked” guests. 11. Accept and record wake-up call requests. 12. Monitor, send and distribute guest faxes. 13. Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery). 14. Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping. 15. Match the bucket check to in-house guest ledger report; report discrepancies to Manager. 16. Process all check-outs. 17. Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, miscellaneous charges.
