HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
WORK SCHEDULE: Other Shifts: To be determined by Management.
This position is located at the Atlanta VA Medical Center performing the duties of a Human Resources Assistant in the Human Resources Management Department. As a Human Resources Assistant you will perform duties which include but are not limited to: processing personnel and pay actions; advising and assisting employees on the full range of retirement and benefits issues; providing pre-retirement counseling to a wide variety of employees ranging from wage salaried employees to high-level management officials; conducting new employee orientation and in and out-processing of employees; explaining and processing employee benefits (health & life insurance, retirement, thrift savings,); maintaining employee personnel folders; preparing annuity estimates for all employees; providing counseling services and benefits information; applying an extensive body of HR rules, procedures, and operations concerning employee benefits; researching problems to obtain relevant facts in light of established precedents; and other related duties as assigned.

HR Generalist
Duties: HR Generalist delivers HR services to their respective client groups and generally supports entry and mid-level employees. This position will provide support to Turner Studios, Business Excellence, Global Broadcast Technology, International IT and TSO Communications. This position is responsible for implementing human resources policies, programs and practices, which may include staffing, compensation, training, and performance management. HR Generalists will partner with HR Managers and Compensation to drive CMR administrative and coordination processes. May be responsible for communicating and informing employees of HR initiatives, project managing efforts, and ensuring programs are aligned with culture of business unit. Responsible for intern program employees, i.e. on-boarding, lunch-n-learn and front-line ER matters. Under the general guidance of an HR Manager and HR Director the HR Generalist provides coaching and counseling to management on leadership and employee development issues. This may include initial intake of employee relations matters; counseling employees on internal and external training alternatives for their professional development and growth; partnering with the PDC on providing solutions to meet client training needs, provide metrics and analysis on learning trends; and partnering with OD department to brainstorm ideas for small group facilitation, focus groups, resources and tools. This role will also partner with HR Technology to assist in identifying technology solutions or process improvements.

POSITION PURPOSE
To take a consultative role with internal HR business areas to identify strategic information needs, conduct detailed data and process analyses, determine root cause for problems, provide actionable recommendations, and to execute analytical projects that support the organization’s strategic objectives.

Human Resources Coordinator
This position will report to the Senior Human Resources manager and provide HR support in an office of 150 employees. Primary responsibilities include:
-Maintain a systematic campus recruiting process to obtain interns and entry level associates
-Identify student and faculty outreach opportunities
-Manage the candidate selection process
-Review current position descriptions and evaluation forms for Associates and Interns
-Ensure that recruiting teams are prepared (firm statistics, positions available, firm service and expertise, how to refer candidates to other offices)

Human Resources Assistant (OA)
The incumbent serves as a Human Resources (HR) Assistant performing a variety of duties such as reviewing, coding and processing HR requests. Incumbent processes a variety of personnel actions by inputting data into an automated system to include benefit entitlements, and position actions. Incumbent is expected to properly select nature of action (NOA) and Authority codes. The incumbent receives and reviews Human Resources requests such as SF-52s for proper coding; pulls suspense reports to ensure actions are processed timely, i.e., probationary period, and within grade increases. Incumbent responds to a variety of inquiries regarding program processes and procedures and makes contact with individuals to ensure proper documentation is received to support requested actions. Incumbent receives and certifies health and life insurance forms, finalizes nontechnical correspondence, conducts research to develop facts and information to recommend resolution of problems. Assist also researches information utilizing the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Guide to Processing Personnel Actions, agency guidance and procedures, controls incoming and outgoing requests. Screens and maintains official personnel folders (OPF’s) and other HR files. Provides information on routine Human Resources processing, generates receipt acknowledgements to job applications and final action responses after selection has been made. Prepares announcements, provides guidance and assistance related to employee benefits, i.e., leave, health, life, etc. Provides assistance and information regarding performance and awards and employee development.
