Floor Technician Team Leader
Description:
This is a full-time, non-exempt, working supervisory position that reports to the Associate Director of Facilities Management and Services. Responsibilities include the supervision of all floor/tile technician staff and providing assistance to the Associate Director with specific office and clerical duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Scrub, strip, wax and polish floors using heavy
industrial type powered scrubber and buffers
Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas
Shampoo rugs periodically using heavy vacuum cleaner and rug shampooing machine
Move heavy furniture, supplies and miscellaneous equipment, as directed
Report items that need repair (doors, door checks, furniture lights, faucets, etc.)
Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walks at building entrances and connecting walks
Use light and heavy (industrial type) floor machines and attachments
Transport moderately heavy objects or equipment as required

Police Communications Officer
This position is responsible for receiving and prioritizing both emergency and non-emergency calls for railroad police services. Responsibilities include determining proper police response, the timely and effective dispatch of personnel and other assets, monitoring response and safety of responding personnel, documentation of calls in a Computer Aided Dispatch system, and the entry and retrieval of information from state and federal information systems.
Police or other emergency telecommunications experience is required. Other requirements include good communication skills, demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in emergency situations, ability to work in a fast-paced high stress environment, and a general knowledge of proper police practices. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in using various electronic and communications equipment including computer aided dispatch systems, multi-line telecommunications system and radio communication systems. Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Description
Majority of the positions are entry level and are located in various parts of the warehouse/plant with some degree of supervision. May include general housekeeping, pallet repair, reworking damaged or returned products, rebuilding vending equipment, counting and checking truck inventory while keeping appropriate records, primary shipping/receiving, sanitizing, operating manufacturing equipment, and loading and unloading of products.
These positions require lifting cases weighing from 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout a 10-12 hour work period, or working on vending machines that weigh approximately 800-1200 pounds. Also requires carrying and lifting cases while reaching, bending, climbing, walking/standing to move product through warehouse, or the use of lifts for larger objects.
Some positions may require pre-employment physical capability evaluations. Others may be required to pass Forklift Driving Skills test or currently possess Forklift Driving Certificate

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, fabrication, counter, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.

-Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
-Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets
-Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
-Verify computations against physical count of stock.
-Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
-Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors.
-May drive truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations or operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
Supervise train crews on a freight train and coordinate switch engine crews. Place cars to facilitate loading and unloading and the makeup and breakdown of trains in a rail yard, industrial plant, or similar locations.

-Read and understand bulletins, work orders, and switch lists
-Assist and instruct train crews to couple and uncouple cars, operate switches, and make minor repairs to railcars, including replacing heavy couplings or air brake hoses
