Level 3 Communications
Summary
Provides analysis, technical sales support, and advice to customers and internal company staff regarding less complex company products and services. Helps qualify sales opportunities, assists with the resolution of technical issues that may arise during the sales engagement, helps clients define specifications and requirements, and assists in developing technical product and/or service solutions.
Essential Duties
-Assists senior Sales Engineers with the analysis of a customer’s needs and competing services based upon knowledge of customer’s current network and equipment. Determines how company services can competitively meet the customer’s communications needs.
-Develops and maintains technical knowledge of customer’s business and related communication needs. Advises internal sales team and customer’s technical staff as appropriate about company products and services, and more fully on the technical and economic trade-offs for less complex company products and services, as well as enhancements and options for product/technology integrations.
-Assists in the design of customer technical solutions by creating engineering diagrams. Understands the technical limitations and advantages of new company products and services.
-Acts as a customer advocate as necessary for all post-sale implementation issues until resolved. Ensures technical content is accurate for all customer orders that are issued. Understands all tracking, billing, and other operations support systems as they become available.
-Attends qualified sales and vendor calls as needed. Assists with technical responses and strategy for RFP’s as a member of the sales account team. Prepares and coordinates materials for technical proposals to customers on less complex services.

Responsibilities/Objectives:

Linux Admin - Level 2 Support
Linux Admin Level 2 Support – Atlanta, GA – 3 to 6 Months Contract Need a strong level 2 Linux/Solaris Sys Admin to work on a very specific project for 3-6 months. The Level 2 Sys Admin will be working on a SAS 70 Type 2 compliancy project. Main task will be to load the OSSEC agent onto 400 servers, then configure them to point to the software that handles logging. This role requires performing a lot of repetitive tasks.
OSSEC is an Open Source Host-based Intrusion Detection System. It performs log analysis, file integrity checking, policy monitoring, rootkit detection, real-time alerting and active response.
