Job Description
Develop and administer local and enterprise-wide solutions using RDBMS and related tools. Independently install and maintain the RDBMS with respect to distributed architecture, distributed transactions, fail-over, recovery, remote connectivity, standards and procedures, and database security. Install new database application releases. Ensure through testing or beta testing that the product is compatible with current production environment. Provide technical consulting on database issues. Recommend new techniques and tools to improve the database production process. Tune Database for optimal performance. Ensure data security and integrity, within the limits of the RDBMS System. Manage logical and physical storage and database users. Develop scripts to run daily, weekly, monthly; and ad hoc reporting and operating systems.

Responsibilities/Objectives:
-Manages small ($ 2,500) to medium-sized (to $25,000) geo-environmental projects.
-Prepares written proposals and/or provides support and input as part of a team for large proposals.
-Prepare, review, and sign & seal Geotechnical Engineering Reports.
-Provides technical support on complex geo-environmental projects, applying strong analytical skills in the following areas: slope stability, retaining wall analysis, ground improvement, settlement/bearing capacity analyses, shallow and deep foundations, and flexible and rigid pavement design. These skills will be applied in a variety of areas. Example applications include: evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards, forensic evaluation of distressed structures, landfills, earth and rockfill dams, liquefaction, naturally cemented and man-made slopes.

Linux Admin - Level 2 Support
Linux Admin Level 2 Support – Atlanta, GA – 3 to 6 Months Contract Need a strong level 2 Linux/Solaris Sys Admin to work on a very specific project for 3-6 months. The Level 2 Sys Admin will be working on a SAS 70 Type 2 compliancy project. Main task will be to load the OSSEC agent onto 400 servers, then configure them to point to the software that handles logging. This role requires performing a lot of repetitive tasks.
OSSEC is an Open Source Host-based Intrusion Detection System. It performs log analysis, file integrity checking, policy monitoring, rootkit detection, real-time alerting and active response.
It runs on most operating systems, including Linux, MacOS, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX and Windows. A list with all supported platforms is available
