Patient Care Assistant - Medical Surgical Nights

MEDICAL RECORDS ASSISTANT MANAGER
POSITION PURPOSE/FUNCTION
Coordinate, monitor, and review chart submission procedures of EDRC in conjunction with records management/scanning departments and coding/billing companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Interviewing, hiring, training/educating of EDRC
-Analysis and supervision of EDRCs timely submission of daily charts and stray/deficient charts
-Constant monitoring along with evaluating EDRC 90 days after hire date and annual evaluations
-Traveling to facilities
-Payroll review for missed punches, time off requests, scheduled hours worked
-Facilitating communication between EDRC, coding company and regional offices
-Resolve problems regarding missing charts through communication with EDRC and Regional Vice President and/or hospital
-Communication with hospital management
-Speaking with each EDRC at least monthly
-Act as a liaison between EDRC and hospital staff
-Other duties as assigned

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management Responsibilities
-Manage Medical Information (MI) Associates to ensure accurate, timely, fair and balanced information is communicated in response to unsolicited Medical Information inquiries.
-Develop, implement, and maintain a training program for the MI Associates.
-Oversee staffing and personnel cross-training plans to maintain Medical Information Call Center coverage consistent with department and company needs.
-Monitor, analyze, and communicate internal and external customer feedback to the Associate Director Medical Information. This includes trending of issues and generating reports for management to highlight issues and opportunities for improvement.
-Monitor and review activities of MI Associates to ensure the MI Call Center is in compliance with company policies and procedure.

Essential Functions:
