Medical Information Call Center Manager
Description
Manage all aspects of UCB’s Medical Information Call Center activities to ensure accurate, tailored, and fair balanced information is communicated in response to unsolicited medical/scientific inquiries in a timely manner and with a focus on high quality customer service.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management Responsibilities
-Manage Medical Information (MI) Associates to ensure accurate, timely, fair and balanced information is communicated in response to unsolicited Medical Information inquiries.
-Develop, implement, and maintain a training program for the MI Associates.
-Oversee staffing and personnel cross-training plans to maintain Medical Information Call Center coverage consistent with department and company needs.
-Monitor, analyze, and communicate internal and external customer feedback to the Associate Director Medical Information. This includes trending of issues and generating reports for management to highlight issues and opportunities for improvement.
-Monitor and review activities of MI Associates to ensure the MI Call Center is in compliance with company policies and procedure.

Description
A medical Assistant provides support for healthcare teams providers during facility encounters within a team environment. They manage patient traffic flow and perform follow-up care per provider instructions. A Medical Assistant also assists with patient education.
Essential Functions:
• Completes medical records and specialist reports. Conducts conversations with patients and integrates relative data to the electronic record.
• Assists in managing patient flow, concerns and information
• Pre-assesses patient by reviewing history, collecting current information and appropriate vital signs. Documents in the medical record according to guidelines (e.g., hearing, vision, blood pressure)
• Prepares room and patient for practitioner encounter
• Schedules appointments for patients with lab, radiology, consultants and follow-up appointments as ordered by practitioner

A ssists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of a physician by performing various clinical duties. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be computer literate. Bilingual Spanish helpful.
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; or completion of a Nursing Assistant program; or High School diploma or general education (GED) with physician practice experience preferred.

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with at least 5 years of internal medicine back office experience with a strong clinical background to work in a 4-provider Internal Medicine/Family Practice located in Vinings. Will perform a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties in accordance with established standards and practices. The successful candidate will have significant telephone triage experience and a clear speaking voice. Will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of a physician by performing following clinical duties: Rooming patients, patient history, vitals, injections, EKGs and venipuncture. May also perform other duties: (e.g. scheduling, referrals, call-backs, etc.) Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills along with strong computer skills. Familiarity with NextGen and EMR a plus. Must be an independent worker, a strong team player, pay attention to details and have the ability to multi-task. Shift ends at 4:30 pm or when all tasks are complete.

Responsibilities:
Perform ABI, Osteoporosis Risk Assessment and blood test screenings in accordance with the company’s protocols and in a proficient and timely manner.
-Ensure the quality of the screenings and service.
-Assist with the proper set up and break down of screening event and registration area.
-Assist with the registration process of participants, including up-selling new products and services.
-Double-check the result forms throughout the day to ensure accuracy.
-Prepare the end of day paperwork including the bank deposit.
-Prepare and submit an Order Supply Form to the Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager.
