Nursing Assistant / Transporter OR – PRN

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with at least 5 years’ of extensive clinical experience, medical terminology, and knowledge in Internal Medicine, to support one physician in a very busy IM practice, located on the main campus of Piedmont Hospital. Will also require call-backs to patients, pharmacies and providing information on lab results. Triage incoming telephone calls; responds to questions regarding medications and treatment instruction; coordinates telephone requests to refill prescriptions in accordance with physician’s directions and protocols. May assist in examination and treatment of patients under direction of a physician by performing the following clinical duties and patient care activities e.g. patient history, vitals, phlebotomy, spirometry, and EKGs.& Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and a professional demeanor.

• Recent graduate of CAAHEP/CAHEA or ABHES Medical Assistant Programs must acquire AAMA or AMT Certification or completion of AAMA or AMT Certification Examination at the next certification examination date.
• Must obtain 60 hours of Continuing Education in a five-year period required
