HIS Medical Coding Manager

Job Summary
Under limited direction the ideal candidate underwrites and analyzes new and renewal Medical Malpractice business primarily for Hospitals, Outpatient and Miscellaneous Health Care Facilities. Responsibilities include marketing Zurich’s products and services through the agency/brokerage community and developing and maintaining relationships with Agents, Brokers and Clients as well as monitoring and following all underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will work within broad limits and authority on highly complex assignments, while also providing leadership and mentoring to other underwriting team members.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience underwriting medical malpractice business with Hospitals and Miscellaneous Health Care Facilities, preferably with experience in loss rated accounts. Must have experience marketing and negotiating with producers and a proven track record of production in the Southeast region.

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with 3 years of internal medicine back office experience with a strong clinical background to support a 10-provider Internal Medicine/Family Practice located in Vinings Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties at the direction of the Practice Manager and/or physicians. The duties outlined will be done on an as needed basis for the physicians in the practice. Reports to the Practice Manager to receive instructions about where support is most needed on any given day. Ability to perform all clerical and administrative duties associated with the Front Office, including but not limited to check-in/check-out duties: greeting patients or visitors; answering phones; scheduling appointments; patient registration and cashiering. Will also be responsible for processing referrals and coordinating pre-certifications for procedures.
