Mental Health Associate 2-PRN(as needed) Evenings
MHA is a member of the behavioral health team and assumes an active role in the Drug Court and DUI participants (clients)drug screens for Male participants. This position requires a Male due to the requirements of the Drug Court and DUI program. This position is under the direct supervision of the Mgr or designee. MHA will observe and document drug screens and notify staff of any issues. This position will also perform clerical duties such as filing and copying. Must possess interpersonal skills, ability to work with at team and communicate effetives with participants and staff members. Maintain ethical and legal practices regarding drug screens. Support initiateives of the team. This position will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday and Thursday and Saturdays 8:00-10:00 AM.

MENTAL HEALTH ASSISTANT
The Mental Health Assistant is responsible for participating as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in the division of Psychiatric Nursing in assessing and providing treatment to patients. PSYCHIATRY C/P PROGRAM (40 Hrs./Week: Evening/Night/Weekend; Flexible).
EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS
Two years of college or one year of college and one year of experience in a mental health setting. General awareness of mental health problems. Ability to assess others in a non-judgmental, objective manner. Ability to make observations and communicate them to other members of the mental health team.

BA in Psychology or related human services field and 1+ year experience with psych and/or substance abuse patients required. Outreach Coordinator for Mental Health
Responsibilities:
-Visits providers to introduce disease management and supports/services provided by the program
-Distribute tools and evidence-based medicine materials to providers/physicians in order to assist with quality improvement efforts;
-Respond to physician/provider inquires related to the program; and ensure physicians are integral components of each member’s care management plan;
-Provide provider education in consultation with Medical Director and outside consultants; and
-Participate in community events that promote health and wellness and introduce APS’ disease management program.
-This position requires travel throughout Georgia.

Mental Health Tech
Atlanta Medical Center has 2 Behavioral Health Units. 6East is a 26 bed unit that typically sees dual diagnosed patients. This is a secured unit and staff works 8 hour shifts (12 hour shifts on weekends). Employees will work every 3rd weekend and 1 major and 2 minor holidays a year. Our other unit is a 16 bed geriatric unit .
The Mental Health Tech is responsible for:
-Attends to the physical appearance of the patients; washed hair, shaves patients, nail care and oral care
-Completes HS care including back rub, oral hygiene and denture care, pericare and toileting
-Provides pressure sore prevention as directed including the use of proper bed surface, skin care products, protective devices (heel and elbow pads)
