School Security Officer
Position Summary:
Security officer wanted to assume the duties of security/safety officer at our Charter School. Those duties will include, but not be limited to: access control, visitor control and escorts, monitoring student pick-ups, patrol interior and exterior of school facility, dealing with hostile or unruly students or visitors, liaison with local law enforcement and fire officials, etc.
Special Skills/Experience Required:
Our ideal candidate will have a H.S. diploma and some college level training. All candidates must hold or be eligible for a security guard license and have prior law enforcement, military and/or private security experience.

REDD SOCIAL STANDARD PROGRAM OFFICER
CARE USA is seeking a Social Standard Program Officer to provide support for the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation in Developing countries (REDD) initiative. This program is co-facilitated by CARE and the Climate Community and Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA). This support role is primarily focused on administrative and finance functions related to part of the REDD Initiative supported by the Moore Foundation, specifically concerning the international secretariat and country level activities in Brazil, Ecuador, Liberia, and Peru. The program officer is also expected to represent the Initiative at relevant events when necessary. Additionally, the incumbent is expected to follow the progress of the REDD Initiative in all participating countries (including Tanzania, Nepal, Indonesia and potentially others) and have an overview of progress across the Initiative as a whole.
REDD is a global goal that can be designed to provide forest-dependent communities with secure property rights, equitable rewards for ecosystem services and other livelihood benefits. REDD initiatives can help communities generate carbon income by providing direct and equitable incentives to communities that conserve forests. CARE builds benefits for poorer, marginalized people into all of our REDD projects and establishes robust safeguards to prevent negative social impacts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Patrols facilities and property making observations to detect unauthorized persons or activities and unsafe conditions. Maintains visibility to deter criminal activity; reports minor violations to police or other law enforcement personnel. Provides restraint under lawful direction and may administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations. Follows organizational guidelines in reporting security- related information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Officer - Atlanta
Duties: The responsibilities of TBS Security include the physical protection of TBS Properties world-wide, facilitating the security concerns and needs of TBS employees and Turner property tenants, and investigating a variety of suspected and known criminal acts involving property losses and damage. Interviews victims, witnesses, and suspects. Responds to emergency situations of various types at all TBS locations. Responses may include activities such as crowd control, physical intervention, and other similar activities. Performs security inspection tours; documents and notifies appropriate personnel of problems, as necessary. Questions or detains suspicious individuals or criminal violators on TBS property. Manages unruly, abusive or injurious individuals according to established policies and procedures.

Surveillance Officer
Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision, this position conducts active surveillance for acute viral hepatitis A, B, C in metropolitan Atlanta. The incumbent gathers, compiles and analyzes data in relation to program area and develops appropriate reports based on findings.
This position will also be responsible for improving data quality for all hepatitis A, B, C data that are captured in the State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (SendSS). The incumbent will work closely with epidemiologists and communicable disease specialists who investigate hepatitis cases in two designated Health Districts to identify and respond to hepatitis cases.
The incumbent also oversees transport of laboratory specimens, participates in the assessment of program operations, and provides technical assistance and program information to internal and/or external customers.
