Security Solutions Officer
Duties and Qualifications
We are looking for a Security Solutions Officer that will be based in Atlanta, GA. This position reports into our Enterprise Technology Risk Management (ETRM) Governance group. This group is chartered with the governance to secure SunTrusts information, keeping it confidential, reliable, and available for our clients every single day. As a member of this group you will consult with our business partners and provide your expertise and guidance to help us plan for, rank and remediate risks. We will expect you to anticipate business needs, emerging trends and threats by continuously monitoring and assessing SunTrusts information security posture today so we can remain secure in the future. For every potential threat, ETRM is prepared with cutting edge countermeasures. Traditional Security Officer – Unarmed
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following basic qualifications for this position:
-Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
-Be at least 18 years old or minimum age required by the State
-Be able to work flexible schedules
-Have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
-Have access to reliable transportation
-Not use illegal drugs. You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
-Be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
-Pass a State licensing test if you will be driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
-Be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if you were in the military
-Be able to successfully complete all training required for the position
-Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
-Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public

Officer-Loss Prevention
Responsibilities:
Patrol all areas of the property; assist guests with room access. Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. Lock property entrances when required. Conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required. Assist guests/employees during emergency situations. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Defuse guest/employee disturbances. Call for outside assistance if necessary. Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents.
