This Senior Paralegal will work in our Atlanta, GA office under supervision of lawyers in the company. Primary responsibilities include:
-Client and vendor contracting, including drafting and reviewing statements of work and amendments;
-Legal support for the RFP/RFI (Request For Proposal/Request For Information) process and marketing activities;
-Completing regulatory and compliance forms required by clients;
-Responding to Freedom of Information Act requests and other information requests under state law;
-Contracts administration;
-Light administrative tasks; and
-Other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Legal Assistant/Paralegal
The Legal Assistant/Paralegal position assists with litigation, real estate, and transactional matters for the Legal Group. The position assists with the defense of pending litigation against the company, including file management, discovery preparation and review, and coordination with outside counsel to ensure efficient use of resources. The position is responsible for managing the Legal department’s online database of confidential disclosure agreements, preparing reports required for confidentiality agreement maintenance and for records management activities in the department. The position assists with real estate and transactional matters, including contract execution, database maintenance, file management, real estate document preparation, and special projects. The position reports to the Litigation & Regulatory Counsel and the Real Estate and Corporate Counsel, with the Litigation & Regulatory Counsel serving as primary manager.

Paralegal/ Legal Assistant I - Atlanta, GA (Compensation $18.75/hr. plus Health and Welfare dollars)
Responsibilities:
- Perform a complete check of the numerous and various sources for new cases, identify cases in which there is an enforcement interest and identify significant pleadings filed in the case, using various research tools and databases.- Process the voluminous amount of pleadings received by the ARO bankruptcy (’Reorg’) program each day, alerting the attorneys to significant documents received; to open new cases and close old cases; to maintain the programs files and databases; to respond to request for statistical information from OGC; and to assist with filing pleadings in various cases and preparing for hearings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Skills Needed:- Paralegal Certificate or equivalent level of training/ experience. Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Attention to details and multi-tasking.
- Experience using litigation support software i.e. Summation, Concordance, etc. helpful.
- Trial experience helpful.
- Demonstrated excellent legal writing skills; requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in using the Government’s word processing software.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

About the Job
The Atlanta office of Greenberg Traurig is seeking a career oriented Paralegal with a BA/BS degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate and a minimum of 7-10 years of litigation experience. Duties include but are not limited to: Preparing securities litigation cases from onset through post trial; document production and management; data mining; research regarding securities trading; obtaining and organizing case files on a daily basis; preparing, organizing and maintaining deposition materials and summaries; assisting with trial and mediation preparations; and additional duties as assigned. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, organized and analytical. Must have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with dispute resolution and/or arbitration proceeding and the availability to work overtime as needed is a must.
