Public Health Analyst
Position Description: BCA is seeking a Research Assistant/Public Health Analyst to provide analytic and writing support for evaluation activities related to the DELTA Program in support of the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Duties include: Participating in the analysis and synthesis of DELTA Program quantitative evaluation data, Collaborating with CDC staff, including statistical staff, CDC contractors, and grantees the analysis and synthesis of DELTA Program evaluation data. Developing Reference Manager databases to annotate and house identified literature, and obtaining PDF copies of articles / book chapters Synthesizing results of data analysis for inclusion in peer-reviewed articles or CDC publications or for presentation to CDC staff and grantees. Providing project management support of DELTA Program evaluation activities Master level or PhD level degree in public health, social/behavioral sciences, or related fields is required.

Public Health Analyst
Job Description
The Project Coordinator provides technical and supervisory support to a multiple-source surveillance system in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
Responsibilities
Provides appropriate guidance and oversight for various tasks related to data collection and management and quality assurance to ensure the scientific integrity of surveillance methodologies. Provides supervision and coordination for a team of field abstractors. Implements existing protocols for development of analytic datasets and maintains user documentation. Provides input on the data collection methodology for conditions such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD), mental retardation / intellectual disability (MR/ID), and cerebral palsy (CP), hearing loss (HL) and vision impairment (VI). Ensures the reliability and consistency of the data while measuring the data limitations. Efforts include the identification of inadequacies and inconsistencies in data; development of procedures and methodology to modify the data; and overseeing any modifications. Contributes scientific and analytic skills to enhance the capacity of the DD Branch to provide and support quality scientific programs aimed at improving our understanding of developmental disabilities.

Northrop Grumman is seeking an epidemiologist to provide expert advice and technical guidance to public health program officials on State-based surveillance programs procedures, programs and policies related to chronic disease risk factor surveillance. Functions as a member of the State Support Team and provides input in day-to-day technical and scientific planning, and management of State-based behavioral surveillance programs. Advises State programs concerning the analysis, interpretation, and use of data to prevent adverse outcomes and secondary conditions resulting from chronic disease. Participates in the planning and development between the Team and States regarding surveillance priorities and health promotion and disease prevention program strategies.
