Director of Media Relations

Media Relations Specialist
Description
Functions as a member of a cohesive Public Affairs team with major responsibility for conceptualizing and executing an effective well-planned media relations strategy that enhances the visibility and image of Kaiser Permanente of Georgia and The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG). Establishes and maintains relationships with key reporters and editors and pitches story ideas that positions KP as a model for better health care; enhances the public perception of TSPMG physicians; and raises understanding of the organization’s commitment to the community. Positions the organization to be better able to manage crisis news events. Supports the organization’s internal and external communications strategy by developing and executing effective communications plans that help physicians, practitioners and employees region-wide understand, accept and support business goals.

Member Relations Director
This department head position is responsible for improving Member retention by connecting Members to other Members and the Club. The Member Relations Director, working closely with all departments, maximizes Member and Guest usage of the Club by organizing “Clubs within the Club” and establishing committees to create events of interest for Members. Communication of these special events and activities is an element of the position.
The Member Relations Director acts as a liaison between the Members and the club staff; this liaison role extends to the community through public relations efforts to promote the Club and its Members. As an ambassador of the Club at external public events, they will endeavor to heighten Club awareness to prospective Members. S/he must also be able to enroll Members in committees, as well as organize and facilitate committee meetings and events.
