POSITION SUMMARY: Develops program content, organizes, and leads activities planned to enhance social development of individual members and accomplishment of group goals. Interview individual members to assess social and emotional capabilities and plans group composition in relation to personal and social compatibility of members. Assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs; group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education. •Assist shelter director in the monitoring of shelter guests needs •Communicate orally or in writing behavioral concerns, and make recommendations; concerning client and shelter guest population to the appropriate staff •Reassess the residents ;need for continued services in WACS, and make appropriate referrals to outside agencies if necessary •Act as liaison between WACS and staff at elementary, middle, and high schools serving;;children in residence •Assist parents in registration process and in accessing g McKinney Vento rights and services •Meet weekly with shelter director •Coordinate with shelter director and program director to meet shelter guests and clients medical and mental health needs •Prepare monthly reports, statistics, and referrals •Represent Atlanta Mission/WACS in community and make presentations to outside agencies •Assist in intake office as needed •Input data into pathways and track progress of client throughout program •Perform other duties as assigned

Duties & Responsibilities: Provides individual, family and intensive group therapy with adults with a substance abuse or dual diagnosis; performs case management; completes intake assessment, updates treatment plans prior to the authorization expiration date. Completes all required documentation, submitting it in a timely manner, according to agency policy.
Minimum Training & Experience: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a closely related field AND licensure at the associate level AND two years experience in social service delivery with at least one year working with a substance abuse population.
Candidates must provide evidence of:
Knowledge of therapeutic models for addictive disease (AD) treatment;
Ability to oversee compliance with regulatory/payer requirements for provision of AD services;
Knowledge of the core components related to documentation and how they are independent and inter-related in order to create a sound medical record.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families. Conducts patient/client/consumer intakes, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. This is the entry/training level of the Community and Social Services Technician job series. Incumbents at this level may require additional training or experience to gain full proficiency in some or all of the job responsibilities.
Minimum Training & Experience:
High school diploma, Clean driving record, Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) or working towards a (CAC). Candidate must possess ability to have clear boundaries with clients. Ability to compile weekly notes. Provide daily living skills instruction. Assist clients in resolving minor complaints ina household environment.
