Program Coordinator
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Health and Public Safety Technologies Division, the program coordinator directs, organizes, plans, implements, evaluates a program that is consistent with preparing competent, entry-level physical therapist assistants. Responsible for monitoring the accreditation process for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program of Study. Develops and manages the Physical Therapist Assistant Program’s daily operation to include clinical services, contracts, administrative policies and procedures. Assists in managing the budget, including purchases of equipment and supplies. Monitors and manages the class schedules for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program, as well as the program master course schedule. Prepares and delivers quality curriculum with daily instruction of students. Under general supervision, demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques. Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping requirements. Demonstrates the effective use of oral and written communication skills and knowledge of current procedures in the Physical Therapist Assistant field.
