Health Education Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION: Works closely with colleagues to advance a comprehensive health promotion program utilizing the ecological model and public health approaches. Conducts sophisticated needs-assessments of constituents’ wellness needs. Plans, implements and evaluates theory- and evidence-based health promotion programs and services. Builds coalitions and collaborates with key stakeholders to develop a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to wellness. Designs and delivers multi-media health communication tools including reports, research summaries, websites, patient and community education materials, training materials, etc. Reviews literature and other relevant research activities. Supervises and trains volunteers, interns, peer advocates, and key opinion leaders.
