Professor of Fashion
SCAD Atlanta seeks candidates for full-time faculty positions in fashion. Qualified candidates should have the terminal degree or its equivalent in fashion or a related field, as well as a broad knowledge of fashion design. Technical expertise in specialized areas such as draping, patternmaking, and garment construction, for one or several of the following markets: garment construction in contemporary / jr. contemporary, menswear and children’s wear is advantageous. Strong skills in the areas of design, concept, innovation, illustration, sketching and CAD are highly desirable. College-level teaching experience is preferred. SCAD offers one of the largest and most comprehensive fashion programs in the United States with a balanced curriculum of design and construction. Fashion students are encouraged to develop creative and intellectual thinking, inventive design skills, and practical expertise necessary to succeed in careers in the global fashion industry.
