Health & PE Director
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Plans and implements health & physical education programs (designated/given/elective/daily) that prepare youth for success. Plans and organizes sports leagues, secures and trains volunteers and referees and plans for transportation to and from destinations.
-Surveys members’ interest in health & physical education programs. Tracks members’ program participation and plans and implements changes to improve results. Develops monthly/quarterly program schedule and implements same. Promotes and markets health & physical education programs to club members via meetings, announcements, bulletin boards, flyers, mailing, posted schedules, etc.
-Ensures daily year-round and summer health & physical education programs are organized and engaging and result in high participation. Ensures health & physical education programs are gender inclusive and sensitive to cultural diversity.
-Implements procedures to report health & physical education program outcomes. Plans, organizes and carries out health and physical education field trips, ensuring club members are supervised and releases and other paperwork completed.
-Plans and implements opportunities to recognize club members. Observes members and corrects unsafe behaviors; enforces safety rules and communicated safety guidelines. Ensures emergency procedures are implemented and followed and takes actions to prevent accidents. Responds to injury and signs of illness and reports member, staff, and/or volunteer accidents/incidents/injuries to supervisor; completes appropriate reports.
