Healthcare Collections / CS Rep. Viningslocation Business Office Representative has to accurately handle at least one unit function of the CBO for the PMCC. At least 2 years experience in both Collections and Customer Service in a Healthcare environment. This position will focus on both healthcare Collections & Customer Service for both primary care and specialty. Collectionefforts to include: Follow-up with patients and insurance companies. Thoroughly investigates every account billed with a self-pay balance. Reviews self-pay accounts per established criteria to determine level of follow-up activity necessary. Ensures all data is correct before collection proceedings are instituted. Decides next level of follow-up and makes every effort to generate and collect all receivable revenue. Customer Service: Answers all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. Resolves all patient inquiries in a timely fashion; maintains a high standard of patient satisfaction at all times. Responds directly to routine questions or pulls correspondence to review account history. Documents all calls and mail received. Follow-up may include researching account history, verifying charges, edits, locating missing payments, researching unapplied cash, and requesting medical records. Must be very detail-orientedwith excellent computational math and basic accounting skills. Computer proficiency required; NextGen and/or EMR experience a huge plus. Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and customer service skills necessary. *Flexibility with schedule possible.
