Human Resources Generalist
Job Description:
Initiates and coordinates all exempt and non-exempt recruitment for the distribution center; hosts and participates in job fairs and related functions to generate job applicants. Writes job specifications for external search firms, recruitment advertising for media sources, and internal job postings to publicize job openings. Develops productive relationships with college and university placement offices, external search firms, civic organizations, vocational schools, and high schools. Coordinates use of temporary service agencies, and the hiring and placement of temporary workers.
Conducts new associate orientations and monitors associate performance during training period. Assists in the supervision, training, and development of hourly human resources staff. Schedules, assigns, and monitors the completion of assigned tasks within the Human Resources Department.
