Job Description
GuideOne Insurance is a nationally recognized leader in specialized areas of insurance including houses of worship, senior living communities and educational institutions. Currently, we seek an Auto Claims Adjuster in our Stone Mountain office to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle total loss automobile, med pay and bodily injurty claims that are moderate to complex in nature.
Duties will include interviewing insureds and other appropriate parties to determine claim eligibility. In addition, this position will assume responsibility for reviewing information to prepare auto damage estimates, making coverage and total claim value determinations, negotiating claim settlements and pursuing subrogation recovery from responsible parties. This position requires management of a regular case load and claims diary, and the ability to appropriately supervise independent adjusters. This individual may be called upon to assist with providing training to lower level adjuster on occasion. This individual may be available for travel and CAT deployment as necessary. While this position reports to a claim supervisor, an ability to work with little supervision, understanding and acting upon direction is critical to the incumbent’s success in this role.
