IT Field Technician – Atlanta
As an IT Field Technician, you will be responsible for assisting employees with all facets of Google’s corporate computing environment. You will support this environment along with much of the local infrastructure for a site, office, and/or region. Your role will cover a broad scope of tasks ranging from end-user desktop support to the creation of tools and the automation of processes. In many cases, you will also act as a liaison between various other technical and non-technical groups in support of Google’s infrastructure and internal services.
Responsibilities:
-Provide direct support for Linux, Mac, and Windows desktops/laptops both on the network as well as through remote VPN access.
-Participate in front-line user support, ticket escalations, office build-outs/expansions, task automation, and cross-team collaborative projects.
-Setup and support telecommunications equipment, video conferencing systems, and remote user access.
-Support all of Google’s corporate resources and applications.
-Write and review documents for both technical and non-technical audiences, including design, development, and reference documents.
