Project Level Geotechnical Engineer
Responsibilities/Objectives:
•Manages small ($ 2,500) to medium-sized (to $25,000) geo-environmental projects.
•Prepares written proposals and/or provides support and input as part of a team for large proposals.
•Prepare, review, and sign & seal Geotechnical Engineering Reports.
•Provides technical support on complex geo-environmental projects, applying strong analytical skills in the following areas: slope stability, retaining wall analysis, ground improvement, settlement/bearing capacity analyses, shallow and deep foundations, and flexible and rigid pavement design. These skills will be applied in a variety of areas. Example applications include: evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards, forensic evaluation of distressed structures, landfills, earth and rockfill dams, liquefaction, naturally cemented and man-made slopes.
•Meets and interacts with clients and sub-consultants.
•Directs other professionals and/or provides support in the development of geotechnical explorations, draft and final geotechnical reports, contracts, technical specifications and drawings, field reports and laboratory testing programs.
