MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Create and manage forecast and inventory plans for each season and annual mailing cycle. Provide estimates of purchase flow, inventory costs, DC inventory levels, and inventory turn based on the annual marketing plans and budget guidelines.
-Create and manage and Open-to-Buy process based on approved inventory plans. Refresh reports at least bi-weekly and provide recommendations to inventory flow to remain within plan goals.
-Provide unit sales forecasts for all items for each season. Ensure that forecasts roll up to equal the marketing plan for sales and margin return. Document assumptions for forecasts for post-season review and analysis.
-Provide ongoing re-forecasts of merchandise in season based on sales trends and category seasonality. Ensure that seasonality is determined for each season in advance. Also ensure that item re-forecasts totals remain within the sales plans
