Medical Data Coordinator
Required skills RHIA or RHIT with certification maintained, RN is required or Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. Computer experience using Word, Excel, and data entry programs. Customer oriented. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Excellent organization and analytical skills. Must be able to work independently to meet deadlines. Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Desired skills ORYX medical record abstraction. Military and/or VHA medical record abstraction experience. 5 years of professional experience or 3 year of professional experience with a related Masters/MD degree.
Specific Job Description Travel required on an as needed basis. Position is responsible for reviewing paper and electronic medical charts, interpreting and analyzing medical record documentation, and extrapolating pertinent health information.
