Description
Under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse, a LPN in a Clinical Setting participates in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of delivery of care. Units using the “medical model”, patient assessments, plan of care and discharge plan are performed by a physician or physician extender. Under this model, the incumbent assists the Physician in providing prescribed care or treatment to the patient.
