JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plans, organizes, leads and directs the day to day operations of clinical staff in an outpatient clinic environment to provide optimal patient and family centered care. Provides staff leadership in clinical operations activities such as nurse practice, staffing, scheduling, process improvement and cost containment activities. This includes managing employee performance as well as communicating with physicians and internal administrators to ensure a high level of clinic productivity. Performs related responsibilities as required. Manages nursing and clinical support staff performance and resolves human resource related issues. Provides nursing leadership for the outpatient clinic. Monitors, directs, and expedites clinical support staff processes to assure a high level of quality, patient safety and efficiency. Actively participates in preparation of regulatory agency reviews. Administers clinic policies and procedures in accordance with the state, federal, and organizational guidelines at each institution by reviewing, revising and communicating them to ensure compliance.
