Description:
The purpose of this classification is to drive/operate trucks and equipment in the pickup and removal of debris from residence within the county and on county road rights of way. Work involves loading, transporting to the county landfill and unloading the debris.
Responsibilities:
-Drives and operates a variety of trucks and equipment for the purpose of pickup and removal of debris from residences within the county and along county rights of way and transports the debris to the county landfill.
-Checks vehicle and equipment before operation to ensure the fuel, oil, and other fluid levels are adequate.
-Performs minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
-Reports equipment maintenance problems to supervisor.
