Epidemiologist/Public Health Analyst
Description:
Northrop Grumman is seeking an epidemiologist to provide expert advice and technical guidance to public health program officials on State-based surveillance programs procedures, programs and policies related to chronic disease risk factor surveillance. Incumbent will assume a consultative role in the analysis, interpretation, and use of State collected data, the analysis and reporting of findings, and review of proposed recommendations and procedures. The incumbent applies analytical expertise to the design, development, and assessment of State-based chronic disease behavioral risks databases; and provides analytic and technical assistance and consultation to State surveillance programs regarding data collection, data interpretation, analysis, and use. Functions as a member of the State Support Team and provides input in day-to-day technical and scientific planning, and management of State-based behavioral surveillance programs. Advises State programs concerning the analysis, interpretation, and use of data to prevent adverse outcomes and secondary conditions resulting from chronic disease. Participates in the planning and development between the Team and States regarding surveillance priorities and health promotion and disease prevention program strategies.
