Media Relations Specialist
Description
Functions as a member of a cohesive Public Affairs team with major responsibility for conceptualizing and executing an effective well-planned media relations strategy that enhances the visibility and image of Kaiser Permanente of Georgia and The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG). Establishes and maintains relationships with key reporters and editors and pitches story ideas that positions KP as a model for better health care; enhances the public perception of TSPMG physicians; and raises understanding of the organization’s commitment to the community. Positions the organization to be better able to manage crisis news events. Supports the organization’s internal and external communications strategy by developing and executing effective communications plans that help physicians, practitioners and employees region-wide understand, accept and support business goals.
