Warehouse Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
Receives, ships, stores and distributes materials and products. Performs warehouse maintenance and supplies maintenance function. Maintains inventory and operates material handling equipment.
PRINCIPAL responsibilities
-Moves materials within receiving, inspection, quarantine, warehouse, production or other designated areas.
-Stores materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style lot number, or product code.
-Assembles customer orders from stock and prepares them for shipping.
-Legibly marks materials with correct identifying information including lot numbers, product codes, quantities, expiration dates, etc.
-Loads and unloads trucks.
-Receives and distributes non-inventory items to requesting departments.
-Cycle counts items as indicated by cycle count schedule.
-Operates all equipment, including lift trucks, safely and in performance with company standards.
-Identifies and reports any safety concerns or operational problems to management for correction.
-Maintains high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the work area and related grounds.
-Orders Fedex and warehouse supplies.
